We are taught that it is a Jewish value and responsibility to teach our children to swim, as it is a skill that will allow them to survive independently when the need arises.
Camp Settoga’s aquatics program focuses on skill development and water safety. Instructional and free swim are offered to campers daily in our heated, Olympic-size swimming pool. Children work with Red Cross-certified instructors daily to become confident, safe, strong swimmers. Campers are tested during the first few days of camp and placed in small groups based on level, skill, and ability. Our swim groups maintain a ratio of 4:1, and additional staff is placed with beginner groups. Towel service is provided for all of our swimmers.
