Teaching our children to swim is a principal Jewish value and critical life skill, as it is a skill that will allow them to survive independently should the need arise.
Camp Settoga’s aquatics program focuses on skill development and water safety. Instructional and free swim are offered to campers daily in our heated, Olympic-size swimming pool. Children work with Red Cross-certified instructors to become confident, safe, strong swimmers. Campers take a swim test during the first few days of camp and are placed in small groups based on level and ability. Our swim groups maintain a ratio of four swimmers to one instructor, with additional staff placed with beginner groups to offer more personalized attention. Towel service is provided to all campers and staff.
