Our Goal

This school year, we aim to bring Camp Settoga back into our local schools and synagogues by offering programming and support. We value the importance of being connected to our community.

The Camp Settoga / The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan Community wants to serve our fellow schools, synagogues, and families 365 days a year - not just 8 weeks of summer!

Examples of elementary school in-person events - Fall 2022-2023

Camp Settoga recently partnered with PS 9 on their Halloween Hop! We donated towards their Haunted House, Voyager Music (Jessica Ginsberg and team) volunteered to run a music corner with hands-on instrument making, and they handed out Camp Settoga postcards.

Camp Settoga helped sponsor and host events at PS 199's Fall Fair, PS 452's Fall Fair, and The River School's Halloween party.

The partners below are fantastic professionals who offer high-level, hands-on, and immersive programming.

• Voyager Music Lessons
  Jessica Ginsberg - Website
• • Make-Your-Own-Instrument booth: Kids learn to make rainsticks, pan flutes, mini-banjos, and maracas they can decorate and take home to play!
• • Songwriting workshop: In 3-5 sessions, a group of kids will learn how to write a song, write a song together about a subject they choose, and take home a recording of the song to share with friends and family
• • Sample music lessons: We can offer complimentary mini music lessons so children at the school can see what it would be like to learn an instrument with Voyager
• • Performance: Our highly talented instructors can give a concert
• • We can raffle off free lessons
• • We can donate free lessons to a school fundraiser/auction
• • The President of Voyager (Jessica) can speak to parents on motivating children to accomplish goals and discuss the benefits of music education on the developing brain. Jessica is a hard-working and passionate musician. We highly recommend her!

• Pop Fit Kids

• • The Pop Fit Kids group offers several opportunities for group fitness.
• • Their team is upbeat, passionate, and strong!
• • PFK is open to several in-person opportunities and activities.

• Color Wink Studio
  Hadley Beacham - Website
• • Hadley is a wonderfully talented artist and teacher.
• • She has her own business called Color Wink Studio, and she was present at Camp Settoga for 2 weeks.
• • She taught 1-week intensives to our 8 and 9-12-year-olds, painting large-scale murals based on art history.
• • She is open to collaborating with schools and finding the best projects for their events.
